Manchester United have revealed the first images of the potential Old Trafford regeneration project. ESPN reported last month that United are leaning towards building a new 100,000-capacity stadium rather than redeveloping Old Trafford,

That has then been followed up by the first images of the stadium plans being unveiled at the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool on Monday, which arrived along with the news that the club has appointed Foster + Partners to create a masterplan for the redevelopment of the land surrounding the stadium.

Old Trafford currently sits 74,310 people. Oxford Economics claimed that initial estimates suggest that the project will 'contribute huge growth' to the economy, creating 92,000 new jobs, building more than 17,000 new homes as well as driving an additional 1.8m visitors per year.
