21-year-old Sofia Labus from Cork has been crowned Miss Ireland for the next 12 months. The Cork woman is studying Criminology in UCC was crowned Miss Universe Ireland at a glittering ceremony at The Fairways Hotel Dundalk over the weekend Sofia was born in Ireland and her parents are from Serbia.

Ireland competed for the coveted Miss Universe Ireland crown at a spectacular ceremony with a special guest performance from Irish chart-topping Boyband ‘Next in Line’ Current title holder Aisha Akorede crowned Sofia who will go on to represent Ireland at the 73rd Miss Universe final in Mexico City this November 16th following in footsteps of previous winners Roz Purcell,

University College Cork student Sofia Labus has won the title of Miss Universe Ireland 2024 - beating 26 other finalists to the crown. Sofia, from Montenotte in Cork city, has her own nail technician business - and is hoping to become a human trafficking criminal investigator through her studies at UCC.
